Communications Fellowship

This fellowship will take place in the spring and is intended for college students and early graduates, but ultimately is open to any person with an interest in serving the Cuban/Cuban-American population in the U.S. Applicants should have a passion for mobilizing communities around progressive policies as well as combating and dispelling misinformation and disinformation in the Latine community at large.

The Fellowship Experience:

Fellows will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the organization’s operations. Fellows will play a direct role in policy and historical research projects as well as assist the organization in monitoring news relevant to the organization’s operations. Fellows interested in podcasting will be able to assist in scripting, producing, and editing clips for future projects. There will be opportunities for fellows to shape their experience around certain tangible skills they would like to develop during their time with the organization.

With few exceptions, this fellowship will be fully remote. Fellows will participate in weekly calls with Cubanos Pa ‘Lante members to work on specific projects. Fellows will also be expected to attend monthly strategy calls with Cubanos Pa ‘Lante leadership. While we encourage applicants from Florida, New York, the DMV area, or Kentucky, we welcome applicants from anywhere in the U.S.

This fellowship is currently un-paid. Cubanos Pa ’Lante will complete any necessary paperwork in order for students to receive academic credit for their time and/or to receive any grants for completing this Fellowship.
